About Todd Jones

I’m Todd Jones, founder of Gen X Jumps, a jump-rope-led fitness brand for adults 50+. I’ve lost the weight, regained it, restarted, rebuilt, and learned what it takes to keep going when life and your body don’t always cooperate.

I’m not standing on the other side of this.

At 60, I still train, manage my diet, recover from setbacks, and adjust as my body changes. I’m working to stay capable too.

My Restart

## Where I Came From

I played baseball until I was 27 and weighed about 175 pounds. After my kids were born, the weight gradually climbed to 235.

P90X gave me my first major restart. I lost about 50 pounds, reached 185, and looked and felt better than I had in years. Then I regained the weight. I repeated the cycle more than once, and by 2021 I was back to 215 pounds.

My daughter’s upcoming wedding and a moment outside a supermarket forced me to face where I was headed. I changed how I ate, started jumping rope, rebuilt my fitness, and eventually reached 175 again. My progress wasn’t a straight line.

### The Method Came First. The Brand Came Later.

Jump rope entered my life during that 2021 restart. Dan Witmer and Brandon Epstein of Jump Rope Dudes hired me as their “marketing dude” and sent me Crossrope jump ropes. I started using them because I needed a practical way to train.

The rope gave me the hard conditioning, coordination, and measurable challenge I was looking for without requiring complicated moves or a pile of equipment. Gen X Jumps grew from sharing that method with adults my age who wanted to lose fat, rebuild fitness, and stay capable.

Visible Proof

## The Proof Stays Visible

I publish real workouts and practical fitness and nutrition education through Gen X Jumps on YouTube. I train publicly and talk honestly about scaling, mistakes, setbacks, recovery, and restarting - not only polished wins.
